Our Knowledge

Our Knowledge

Many a time we think we know everything. As you study more and more we realize that our knowledge is little. When I took B.Tech from College of Engineering Trivandrum I thought I know a lot. But when I studied M.Tech from IIT, Madras I realised that the approach to many topics we made was not correct. When I joined IIT, Bombay for PhD it was a shock to me that I know only a drop from an Ocean. Even after PhD it was clear that our knowledge is meager. As we study more and more we realize this and we become more humble.

But PhD gave me a courage to handle and analyse different subects. This I could prove when I returned to TKM after my PhD. Many new subjects were introduced and also the college started PG on Industrial Refrigeration and Cryogenics. There was none to handle Cryogenics and I have also not studied this. I took as a challenge took different books and taught satisfactorily the subject in Masters level. That is we get a confidence in doing research for studying, preparing, analyzing and presenting different topics by ourselves. But still our knowledge is meager  and we should continuously study if you want to survive. So my request to all is acquire knowledge as much as possible by reading and hearing talks of eminent personals of your subjects and general ones.

Good luck for the future generations
